They all started off good. Caleb, Ricky, and Meadow had made a pact to keep each other in line so that they would all finish the semester with great grades. And it all started off good. Well, for the first few days....

Welcome to LaQuest Beach!

Thanks for stopping by my little piece of the internet :). I decided to make this page for any newcomers joining my story. And that's just what LaQuest Beach is: a story. It follows the lives of pixelated people living in a city that could be on the west coast of the United States (if it existed that is). For the most part, these are things that happen to the average person. But there are aspects unique to the story, such as alien abductions and elven realms :).

LaQuest Beach is a story based off what happens when I play the Sims 2. There's really not a beginning or ending, it's like a never ending saga :). I began LaQuest Beach a little over a year ago, right when I began the blog. While it relies heavily on what happens during gameplay, there are also side stories created by me and lots and lots of dialogue, which the Sims 2 doesn't create. It's a mix of the two.

Round 7 - August 2038

Derick Pace had no idea what he had been thinking when he decided it was a good idea for him to become a husband and father! As he heard Charity's screams he knew that DeJuan had been right: he was definitely not ready for this........

Mellow Metal Stuff

I have been playing around in body shop and created some gear for my Mellow Metal fans :). It took me a while and they aren't the best but I'm happy with how they turned out. It's not as hard as I thought it would be, but it did take quite a bit of time to get the placement right. Anyhow, Caleb Henderson and Kayla Knowles were so kind to be my models:

This is actually an outfit (I didn't see a suitable shirt for it). The original outfit is from Club Crimsyn.

I also made a new poster for my sims to hang up in their rooms:

* I dunno if anyone would want these but I would be willing to put them up for upload. I have to check Club Crimsyn's sharing policies first though. (*EDIT- I check their site and they don't mind people recoloring their stuff so I could upload them.........)

* I really wanted to do just a shirt for the guys too but I didn't have a shirt that was appropriate. They are a rock band and those little base game shirts aren't very rockish lol.

Round 6 Summary

A lot of babies this round! My schools are going to be packed with the next generation! Gordon is now a playable and will get his own profile! Also I'm making a few changes starting in Round 7:

* From seasons to months: I have enough play sessions now to switch over to months. Now I can use my holiday stuff pack a little more :)

* The schools will now be played twice per round instead of only once. There are technically 2 school years in each round and I want my kids to have more interactions with each other. Uni will still be played 4 times a round, with each time being a full semester. I find that playing it one semester at a time keeps me from getting too bored with my uni kids.

* This is really more for my benefit than anything else but I've decided to create backgrounds for my founding sims. I've hinted at it with the Blasts from the Past for a few of them but I want to go a bit deeper with all of the characters I've created. I suppose I'll create a separate tag on the sidebar to make them more accessible. They will be alot like the character bios from Sessions. I won't do it for the ingame born sims since the blog has been following their lives. But characters like Slade Willis and Charity Jones will also get backgrounds.

I have switched everything over to Evernote and I must say I love it! I just took the forms I created and copied and pasted them into Evernote. I left one of each type of form blank so that say when I need a new profile for someone, I copy the blank one, create a new entry, paste the blank form and fill it in with my sim's info. And since I have the app on my tablet, as I'm playing I can update things without either minimizing the game or playing in window mode.

Caleb, Ginger, Ricky, and Meadow are all starting uni this next round and I'm excited to see how they each develop :). It should be pretty interesting! Ginger will be the first sim to go to Brown Technical University (my in hood uni).

Round 7 ROS:

* Take a vacation
* Civic Safety Grant: $15000 to be spent on public safety
*Weekly night out

Nothing earth shattering. The take a vacation one works well with some plans I have already made and the person who rolled the weekly night out really needs it! I'm still working on what I'm going to do with the grant money. Is it wrong for me to want very badly to roll my get abducted ROS?

Kinsley Knowles had finally taken the plunge and bought a store to sell her clothes. Now that Ricki was in school, she had the time to run a business outside of home. She named it Escape and was able to find a wonderful building near the coastline. Which meant that she got lots of customers who were coming to or from the beach.

Taesha found it hard to believe that her college career was coming to an end. It didn't seem like four years had really passed. And she found it even harder to believe her baby girl would be 1 in only a few months! Where did the time go?

Matthew was getting use to being a father. It was weird. One minute he and Jessica were just living their lives and the next there was this little person who required so much attention from them. And truth be told, Matt wasn't use to giving up his attention freely. He hadn't been the greatest husband to Jessica and he knew it. He loved her, but he married her before he was ready to be a husband. And now he was a father.......
