Alex didn't get what the big deal was about Anastasia. Everyone thought that she was so cute, but all she did was sleep, eat, and slobber all over the place. Grown ups were weird...........

Alex complained to Connor a lot about Ana, but Connor had other things on his mind. Like his move to Peragama next year. On one hand, he was super excited to finally fit in. He had enjoyed his trips with Ms. Celeste and knew that it was going to be lots of fun. But now that he was about to MOVE there for two years, it seemed a little.......scary. He didn't know if he wanted to be away from his family and friends for that long........

Corbin decided to ignore Connor's upcoming trip all together. He knew that it was coming up, had know since Connor was born.........but how in the hell had 12 years passed by so quickly? He had no idea how he was going to explain Connor's sudden absence for 2 years. He and Amanda had plans for speaking with Celeste about the best way to handle it. He just couldn't believe his son would be gone to another PLANET for 2 years........

Alex couldn't believe his brother would be gone for two years! He also had a hard time with the whole alien thing. His parents had explained to him why Connor looked different from them, but it was still so crazy! And while he knew that he and Connor would have split up anyway next year because Connor would have moved to the high school, it still made Alex sad to think about not having his brother at school next year. He wouldn't even get to ride the bus with him..............

Ana provided a very good distraction for her parents, though. Corbin still couldn't believe that they had had a baby so late in life. But then again, his life with Amanda had been anything but ordinary..............

Amanda had also rekindled her friendship with Tessa Gunner. It was nice having a friend who could understand the craziness that was her life. Tessa was also surrounded by supernatural, completely unbelievable things daily. She was happy to see that Tessa was more herself these days. She still wasn't the same. But I guess having your memory wiped would do that to a person.............she also seemed to be in a much better place with her husband, Elvin.

Amanda had the de Muses over for lunch pretty regularly. She was fascinated by the history of Elvin's realm. Vasadori sounded like a very beautiful place. She also felt bad for them as their daughter, Arwen Vasan, would also be leaving when she turned twelve. But unlike Connor, Arwen would not be coming back. It was a small thing, but it was something in which Amanda took solace. Connor would be back...................

"Won't be long now, huh?" Tessa asked.
"Less than a year. When he was born, it seemed so far away, you know? He's about to be a teenager for goodness sake! I just can't believe it!" Amanda said.
"I'm dreading the day that Arwen leaves. I still have some years, but like you said, time flies by. I have to ask........are you even a little bit relieved?" Tessa asked.
"Relieved?"
"Well, yea. With Connor gone, your family will at least APPEAR to be more normal."
"Tessa.......at this point, being abnormal is the Gray way of life. I will miss my son desperately. It's not a vacation from him or anything like that. He is an integral part of this family. I don't know what I'm going to do," Amanda said tearfully.
"I didn't mean anything by my question. It's just that even with all the craziness in my family, both of my daughters look like everyone else. There's never any questions raised. But with Connor.........."
"Tess, Corbin and I stopped caring what people thought a long time ago. At the end of the day, our family is what is most important. And anything outside of that is irrelevant...................."

Sometimes he had to hold her to keep her from falling apart...........but she meant what she said to Tessa. They were a family. And they would be missing a key piece while Connor was on Peragama. But Amanda also knew how important this trip was for her son. So they would find a way to manage. She just had to remember..........Connor would be back........he would be back..............

* I just hopped right back into it! I couldn't believe that Connor is going to be 12 at the beginning of next round! I've got to start prepping for his trip to Peragama I suppose..........it just snuck up on me lol.

* It will definitely be weird to play this house without Connor in it, but I am also very excited to play him with Totia............I think this will be such a great experience for both of them. I still haven't decided how I'm going to address his absence from school. He'll miss his whole junior high school experience, but he'll be back in time to start his freshman year. Should be interesting..........

* And if you missed the previous post, I'm back! I'm not setting any type of schedule in stone because I don't want to be a liar lol. But I do want to post at least once a week. I have a few play sessions finished so it's looking like I may be able to do that.
