Sitting Down With: Armand Wrightwood

By Joanna King

He is without a doubt THE most eligible bachelor in LaQuest Beach. He's extraordinarily handsome and obscenely rich. Yes ladies, we have none other than Mr. Armand Wrightwood on the couch today!

SDW: Mr. Wrightwood, how are you today?

ARMAND: Please, call Armand. I have a feeling we will be getting quite personal today, no? (smiles)

SDW: Yes we will! You have been placed on lists with some of the richest men in the world. Please tell us a bit about how you amassed such wealth.

ARMAND: My company buys and sells failing businesses. If they are too far in the red, I break them up and sell the pieces. It is a business that has been in my family for two generations, with me being the third.

SDW: You must stay quite busy.

ARMAND: Yes and no. I have organized a staff of people that I trust who help me keep it all under control. What is it that they say about all work and no play? (laughs)

SDW: We all need a break sometimes. You accent is beautiful. Where are you from?

ARMAND: I was born in Lyon, France but I have lived all over the world. I am thinking of remaining in LaQuest Beach for a while though.

SDW: I don't suppose that would have anything to do with a certain single mother would it?

ARMAND: (laughs)  Droit au point, no? I have indeed met someone quite special during my time here. She is a lovely woman.

SDW: Sound serious! Do I hear wedding bells in the near future?

ARMAND: You are very direct (laughs). I like that. The older a man becomes, the more he wants to be sure that his legacy is left behind once he is gone. I am my father's legacy as my children will be mine. I am 33-years-old and have reached a point in my life where I am ready to begin building that legacy. I could definitely see myself with this woman.

SDW: Is it tough dating a single parent? Especially since her daughter has such a famous dad?

ARMAND: I do not think his celebrity makes the situation any better or worse. He is simply a man who did not now what he had. We rarely see each other, not because of any ill feelings, but because there really is no reason for us to. We are both busy men with different focuses. His focus is his daughter as it should be. Mine is her mother (smiles).

SDW: The women of LaQuest Beach will not be happy to hear that! Let's switch gears. Tell me about your father.

ARMAND: There is not much to tell. Alderic Wrightwood was a shrewd business man and wonderful father. He doted on both my mother and I until his dying day. He is the reason I am the man I am today.

SDW: And your mother?

ARMAND: My mother, Eloise, was a beautiful and caring woman. She died a few years ago from cancer.

SDW: I am sorry to hear that. Your father was the focus of an investigation before his death, was he not?

ARMAND: Yes. There was speculation that he had saved the business through money laundering. My grandfather made some bad investments and so when my father inherited the business, we were on the verge of bankruptcy. He brought the company back from the brink.

SDW: The investigation turned up nothing, right?

ARMAND: No. But it damaged the company's reputation and I had to work very hard to restore it. I don't care what those idiots say. My father was not the kind of man they say he was.

SDW: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

ARMAND: Hopefully still running my company and married with a few kids.

SDW: Will you still be in LaQuest Beach?

ARMAND: I am not sure. I like it here, but I have a tendency to get restless. I am sure I will keep a home here regardless. May I ask you a question?

SDW: I guess it's only fair.......

ARMAND: Are you having a girl or boy?

SDW: My boyfriend and I have decided to be surprised.

ARMAND: Any preference?

SDW: I would love to have a little girl..........it'd kill my boyfriend though! He's quite overprotective (smiles).

ARMAND: Oh mademoiselle, he should be overprotective of one as beautiful as you. It is in our DNA to protect those that we love. I can be a bit overprotective myself (smiles).

SDW: We are quite capable of taking care of ourselves you know (smiles). Thank you so much for sitting down with us today, Armand.

ARMAND: The pleasure was all mine.

Well ladies, it seems the heart of our most eligible bachelor is spoken for. We thank Mr. Wrightwood again for letting us pry into his life! Until we have our next victim in the hot seat, later gators!

* It's been a while since I've updated and that is due to this electrical problem that I have going on. We've had really bad lightning storms here lately and one of them completely fried two tvs and possible my laptop despite the fact that everything I own is in surge protectors! I won't bore you with the details, but my game is fine and intact. It seems that it only fried my HDMI ports on my laptop and tvs. The problem with that is that I play my sims on my TV though my laptop lol. I have a monster sized desktop replacement laptop by ASUS and it's quite heavy. So I'm in the process of figuring out the best way to go about hooking it up to the tv without using HDMI.

* Hope this gives some insight into Armand. I'll cover it some more during Meadow's update. He's quite the interesting fellow in my head lol

* I take no credit for that picture. I got it from simsurbania.com which is where I downloaded him from originally.

  1. Ooh, very interesting to learn more about Armand! Sounds like he's got designs on making this thing with Meadow permanent. I wonder what she'll think about that!
