Pace Update and Some Changes

Long time no see! So I am still playing the game but I've been gearing up for some changes I want to make. Because I feel like I've been leaning heavier on the storytelling side of the fence than game play, I've decided to focus more on that. I've started a wordpress blog and that is where I will continue my updates. I won't be deleting this one as I'm not porting over all these posts as the format will be a bit different.

I'm still playing my game in rounds but I won't be mentioning that in my new posts. I'll still post what month and year it is. There also won't be anymore game play notes at the bottom of the posts. Any game play things that I may change will be posted over on this blog. I'll also do a quick little post over here when there's a new update on the new blog. I think this will work out better since I have Connor's trip to Peragama coming up and I'll still be doing Arwen's story, both of which are all storytelling. So basically all this means is that they will be treated more like characters instead of sims if that makes sense.

Because I took such a long hiatus and those who were readers previously might have forgotten what was going on with each character, these first few post will contain some background on each of my sims. I will link to the posts here that correspond with whatever I'm talking about. Hopefully that will help those of you who were readers but may have forgot some points and it'll help anyone new to the story that might come across it solely on wordpress. I'll still be doing school updates and all that, it'll just have more of a story feel to it. That's the plan anyway lol.

Four lovely ladies are turning 4 this time around!

First up is 1/2 of the Carr twins, Lauren Joyce Carr. Lauren is excited about going to school and with her very outgoing personality (9), she is sure to make lots of new friends. She's not the nicest kid in the world (3), but she has her mother's charisma and should do just fine!

It took him a while to get here, to grow up. But now he was a husband and a father and it was time to make some grown man decisions where his family was concerned. Which meant that his days of money laundering were coming to a close. He had made his money, bought a nice home, and was ready to settle down in the life of the new Derick Pace: Husband, father, and club owner.

She should ask him. His club was doing well, but not well enough for him to be able to afford this beautiful town home. She should demand that he tell her what it is he does when he leaves the house for hours on end. And she should demand that he stop it, before he found himself locked up. She should, but she wasn't going to. She loved their life together and knew that he would never endanger Jordyn or her. And it really was a beautiful home.......

Quite a few birthdays this time!

First up is little Jordyn Pace. She inherited her mother's gold colored eyes and is already a very striking young lady. While she's a very active toddler, Charity can already see some of Derick's grumpiness in little Jordyn!

He had never been married, had no kids, had no one in his life other than Charity. And he hadn't been treating her well at all. What was this deep contemplation? Derrick Pace was pissed. He didn't know what was going on with Tessa's husband, but he knew something wasn't right! He couldn't remember everything, but he did remember stopping by her house and getting into an argument with her and her freak of a husband. Next thing he knew, he woke up at his club with his staff telling him that he had been clucking like a chicken! Something wasn't right with that guy.........

Derrick Pace was tired. His club was slowly making a profit, but not enough of one for him to make his moves as fast as he wanted to. So he had come up with a few ideas on how to change his luck around......

The first step of his brilliant plan was to start making his own money......literally! He had joined a large counterfiting ring that had started up in Englewood. Right now he was working for a higher up, but soon he would have his own organization. Or so he hoped. Right now he was slowly adding funds to his bank account so that he could move into a larger space. But it would take him forever to save up the money this way. He couldn't deposit thousands of simoleons everyday without drawing suspicion. So the next part of his plan would require alot of charm on his end.......Charity Jones had a little money.....just enough money to put Derrick where he needed to be.....and he was pretty good at separating fools from their money.........

 It seemed that fate was on his side. She had been having a little trouble with her parents since she began seeing him. So much so that she decided she didn't want to stay with them anymore. She wanted to live with him.........like taking candy from a babe!

Charity knew that her parents didn't approve of her being with Derrick. She knew he was a "bad boy". But Charity liked to believe that there was some good in everyone. And even if there was absolutely no good in him whatsoever, she had a feeling that he was underestimating her...........

Because Charity was no fool.......and the streets were nothing knew to her or her family.....Derrick Pace had better tread lightly, because the Jones family was not something to be played with........

* Charity is a townie that I created. At first, I was going to make her character young and naive......but then I thought how much more fun it would be if she was only "playing" at naive. I think it's about time Derrick got his!

* It's pretty short, but that's because not much really happened. His club makes alot of money even though it's not really rising in the business ranking system. But that's just fine by me, as long as he has the money. Speaking of money, counterfiting is of course against the law in LaQuest Beach.......Derrick might want to watch himself!

It really was a nice house. She had to give him that. He had nice taste. Tessa was excited about her new start. Englewood would take some getting used to for her. Derick warned her about going into the really bad area. Said that they would know right off that she didn't belong and it would make her a target. It scared her a bit, but for the most part she was happy with the way things were going.

Derick Pace had a plan. It was a good plan. It was a plan that would allow him to become something more than a two-bit criminal. He would have a completely legit job, doing something fun, and make lots of money. It was a no fail plan. Only one thing could possibly stand in his way: Tessa Gunner. She was a key part to his plan and he really need her to cooperate. He liked Tess, she was a sweet girl. Beautiful and fun to be with. He knew she wasn't really the settling down type and he wasn't thinking marriage and kids himself. But they had fun together and he liked having her around......hopefully she felt the same.....

Derick Pace is trouble with a capital T. He has always been in awe of the different ways people begin their life of crime and is eager to start his own. He's not a very nice sim and doesn't care who gets in his way.......he will eliminate them. He loves living in Englewood and is determined to be the king of the neighborhood before it's all said and done........
